TOTAL STRAIN ENERGY

(OP)
Hi!

How can i obtain the total strain energy.
I'm working with PATRAN, and i've submited the model in SOL600.

thanks.

RE: TOTAL STRAIN ENERGY

Hello,

one way to get the total strain energy out of nastran is to request it for one element or more in the F06 file (ESE(PRINT)=<elm set number>). Nastran writes the total strain energy down by default in the F06.

Hope it helps.
