(OP)
Hi,

The analysis of my file was completed, i had 2 steps in the file, 1st step is apply loading (say 100kN), 2nd step is apply heat (say 500 degree celcius). I had my restart file writen.

i am happy with my 1st step result, but not very satisfy with the 2nd step result.

wondering would that be possible, if i wish to change some data in the 2nd step, but keep the 1st step result, i.e 1st step=apply 100kN load, 2nd step=apply 900 degree celcius (instead of 500degree celcius as I done previuosly).

is that be possible if I do the analysis again by using *RESTART, READ, STEP=1, not to include the 2nd step of my previous analysis, but continuos the NEW '2nd step' after reading the step 1 result from the restart file.

please advise.
