Arc Ouput option for Surface Contour...

Arc Ouput option for Surface Contour...

(OP)
Perhaps I'm having a senior moment... In NX5 I can't find an option to change the cls output to "linear only" (no arcs). I see in Planer Mill it must now be added to the operation template using customize. I need to remove the circle records from just a couple of my Fixed Axis Contour operations.

Bump...

RE: Arc Ouput option for Surface Contour...

From the docs...  ( Release Notes -> Mfg. -> Caveats )

Motion Output
The Motion Output option was left out of the milling operation dialog boxes. If you need to change this, customize the dialog box to add Machine Control. This can be used to access Motion Output on the old Machine Control dialog box.

Why?  (I'm working on that one)  :)

Got it!

Thanks for the help. It threw me off as adding Machine Control to the operation that already had "Machine Control" listed was confusing. Perhaps it could be broken out as only "Montion Control".

Bill,

You should be able to just add the "Arc Output" option on it's own. (If that's all you need).

The official word is, "It was an 'Ooops!'"
We inadvertantly left it off the dialogs.
That's why it appeared in the "caveats" section.

"We apologize for the inconvenience."
