dividing a water pipe to 2 branches
dividing a water pipe to 2 branches
(OP)
Hello
I want to ask if I have a water pipe with flowrate 16 m3/hr.
This pipe will be divided to 2 branches.
I need for each branch to have 8 m3/hr.
The pressure drop in branch 2 is more than branch 1 , what can I do have the same flowrate at the 2 branches (8 m3/hr) ?
Can I put for example a globe valve at the beginning of each branch followed by a pressure indicator?
Please advice me with an economical solution
Thank you very muchh

branch 2 (more pressure loss than branch 1) 2"

They allow you to set the flow rate you want to have in a line and they work by equalizing the pressure drop in the piping.
We use them for recirculating the hot water in a domestic hot water loop where the pressure drops in various loops are different.
I have not used one at your flow rates ~35 gpm, but the chart I use indicates they have some that go that high.
Check them out.
