Good Petroleum Engineering Book?

Good Petroleum Engineering Book?

Good Petroleum Engineering Book?

(OP)
I have just started in the industry with little Engineering experience and it's also been a while since college.

Could anyone recommend a good, practical book(s) that covers fundamentals of PE, from well head to the sales pipe? Basically looking to get the lingo and refresh on the basics on mechnical, process, and instrumentation aspects of production and refining?

Doesn't have to be idiot's guide to PE (according to the paper on the wall, I am an engineer), but don't need it to cover calculation of piping loss to the n-th degree!!! Basically a book to put to sleep :)

Thnks

... at £450 or US$900 that is a BLOODY expensive buy.

I would recommend "Standard Handbook of Petroluem and Natural Gas Engineering".  Very good covering reservoir, production, drilling etc. Less on the downstream separators topsides etc
