Can we change the units of Ansys in micrometer

(OP)
Dear all,

I would like to know, if we can make the default dimensions of length in micrometers.

I am using Ansys for MEMS design analysis. so would be quite convient for me to change dimentions to micrometer.

Looking forward for reply.

Hi,
of course. Well, in Workbench you only have to choose the appropriate units set and the program will prompt you the correct consistent unit for each value field; in Classical you will have to keep consistent by yourself.

Hello,

if you already have a model, you can scale the model by a factor. See the command VLSCALE for example or in the Main Menu: Main Menu>Preprocessor>Modeling>Operate>Scale.

Alex
