Inventor 2009 Importing Settings

Inventor 2009 Importing Settings

(OP)
I have loaded Inventor 2009 now and its gone in alongside 2008

Is there any quick way of importing all my settings over in one hit as it has come in as per straight out the box and has not picked up the settings I was using on 2008

Many thanks

RE: Inventor 2009 Importing Settings

In Inventor 2008 Tools>Application Options>Export and Tools>Customize>Export  (give a unique name and location to the export files so that you can easily find them)

In Inventor 2009 Tools>Application Options>Import and Tools>Customize>Import the files created above.

Thank you for this

A simple thing but saves so much time setting it all up again o try and get it the same

Unfortunatly it does not import all the settings. In a typical lack of joined up thinking it does not seem to import the drawing settings which always seem a pig of a job to set up each time

RE: Inventor 2009 Importing Settings

I haven't tried it but I think you can export through Styles and Standards editor
or
Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard
or
Style Library Manager
