Does STAAD-PRO do reinforced concrete beam design? If so, which commands do I use?

Thanks

RE: STAADPRO

Yes it does.

See Staad's technical reference.

RE: STAADPRO

Yes, but reiengineers still has great material for Staad, including a very lively discussion forum where one can hope to receive more attention to all Staad related questions.

RE: STAADPRO

todd2ny,

Depends on what you define as "do rc beam design".

It will produce one for you. Whether otr not its results are worth the paper they are written on is up to you to decide. If you want Tbeam design from a FEM analysis in STAAD then no, the results are meaningless because it does not know what a Tbeam is. If you want deflection calculations, its results are meaningless as they are short term uncracked. Probably out by a factor of 6 or more depening on the situation.

RE: STAADPRO

commands are easy. intepretation and logic are the most important. staad.pro results only gives you recommendations, not definite solutions. you should be wary of it.
