Site Engineer Handbook??
Site Engineer Handbook??
(OP)
I have recently accepted a position as a site engineer for a water project. It is only my second job since graduating and I have little postgraduate experience (3 years) and am beginning to get quite daunted by the prospect. Could someone reccommend a handbook for site engineers? Also, a reccommendation for environmental engineering handbook would also be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Water Supply and Pollution Control, 7th Edition, Warren Viessman, Jr. and Mark J. Hammer, Pearson Prentice Hall, 2005.

You should also get a copy of the State regulations for water plants. Many of the states use the Recommended Standards for Water Works 2007 Edition

To clarify; I will be working as the resident engineer for the client, which in my case will be the local government here in Ireland, on a water supply scheme.
Given that I have little experience on-site I was wondering if there a consise general handbook for site engineers available. A similar concise handbook on environmental engineering would also be helpful.
I have all the college books and passed all the exams etc., but would like to know if anyone has come across such handbooks.
Thanks again.
