Fuses - SCCR

In a previous post thread237-198606: UL 508 Panel Protection I asked about located the circuit protection outside the panel.  Jraef responded that the VFD SCCR rating may need to be lowered because of this.  If the VFD only states the fuse type/size necessary and doesn't say anything about the location of the circuit protection is is safet to say that it will not effect the SCCR rating of the panel?  According to chapter 60 in UL508a it allows for branch protection to be outside the panel provided that the proper fuse size/type is marked on the panel.

If fuses are used outside the panel the let thru-current to the VFD should not be any different if the fuses are in the panel or in an external panel board correct?
