Autoignition temperature or ignition temperature
Autoignition temperature or ignition temperature
(OP)
Help -
On Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), a value for the autoignition temperature is often listed. I found this ASTM standard for determining the autoignition temperature if the material is a solid or liquid:
ASTM G72 - 01 Standard Test Method for Autogenous Ignition Temperature of Liquids and Solids in a High-Pressure Oxygen-Enriched Environment
[b][u]Is there a standard for gases?/b/u
I also found one for dust clouds (ASTM E 1491)
Thank you!
