Hey we have some stuff that is lining electrical lockers.  It's reddish, sort of like wood, but it's not.  It can be drilled, and tapped.  It's fireproof.  Things like 600V contactors are mounted all over it.

Some sort of phenolic?  Anyone know what it is, and where it can be purchased?

RE: Electrical panel board material.

you can try McMaster Carr, search for garolite or micarta. They have fire resistant versions.

Sounds like Glastic maybe. They have flat sheet products up to 4 x 8, I think.
