Goiing wireless on a DH-485 network

Goiing wireless on a DH-485 network

(OP)
I have been looking around for a wireless solution for a DH-485 network. Has anyone come accross such an application. The network has 3 micrologix PLCs and 3 Panelview plus 1000 HMIs.
I have been searching for a serial to wireless adapter that could be attached to the trunk of the DH-485 network and then broadcast over wifi to my Laptop. Then via a virtual comm port on my computer through which RS-linx tunnels to the DH-485 network.

Is this a crazy idea, or are there any solutions.
Thanks for any replies.
