Labels & Faceted Representation Views

Labels & Faceted Representation Views

Labels & Faceted Representation Views

(OP)
I am using a faceted body to generate an assembly drawing.  The drawing contains no dimensions, only note and label pointing to specific components.

The faceted body has been created using the product outline functionality, and the drawing has been created using the master model philosophy where the geometry and drawing are in separate part files.

When I create a base view 'TOP' the arrow heads of the labels get created / attached the locations on the model I have selected.

However.......

For any other view the labels go to random locations, it seems that the label is projecting itself to plane of XY in relation to the orientation of view TOP.

Any ideas how to make the label stay where I selected.

I am currently doing this on NX2, but NX4 does the same.

Cheers,

B

RE: Labels & Faceted Representation Views

I think it has been mentioned before that this is a known problem. You can expect that neither NX-2 nor even NX-4 will be fixed at this stage. One thing that may work and be worthwhile testing is ID symbols with parts lists. As far as I remember these are more co-operative, there are some extended options for the ID symbols that few people use very frequently which may suit your needs.

Best Regards

Hudson
