I'm trying to import a parasolid assembly file and I am getting an error that I have never seen before.  Any suggestions?  SW07 sp4.0

The only options I have is to click the "OK" button.

I found the problem.  The default part template already had features in it.  I had to delete those features so it would work properly.

RE: Importing Parasolids

One importeant thing I learned about imported solids: "Import Diagnosis" does not work if there are additional features in the model.

I used to have templates with principal axes in addition to planes & origin.  This was enough to disable Import Diagnosis.

RE: Importing Parasolids

A bit of a hint when working on clients' systems (or in their offices)--get used to disappointment.  Sub-standard/non-functioning graphics cards, flickering CRTs, flickering fluorescent overhead lights complete with screen glare (worse than from my own forehead), pieces of bagel and other detritus in the keyboard, ancient corded ball mice that allow the mouse to get just within two feet of you, non-existent file systems with SW files anywhere (and unknown) on the hard drive (often on the desktop), and maybe even Windows 98 on a wobbling, should-have-been-put-out-of-its-misery-nine-years-ago PC.  You'll love it.  Most clients don't use SW much anyway, so consider bringing your own templates, and settings along on a USB drive--change them.

(If there are any of my clients out there reading this--I'm not talking about you.)
