EXTRUDE-----CUT EXTRUDE

EXTRUDE-----CUT EXTRUDE

EXTRUDE-----CUT EXTRUDE

(OP)
This happens on this version SW2008 x64 sp3.0...
When creating a cut at the part level the history tree shows the feature as an extrude with the symbol for a cut-extrude.
When I do the same thing by modifying the part at the assembly level (EDIT COMPONENT)it comes up as a cut-extrude with the cut sextrude feature in the history tree.  Not that this is a big deal but thought it was somewhat inconsistent in the history tree.  Does this happen to anybody else?

RE: EXTRUDE-----CUT EXTRUDE

I imagine it would happen to everyone else.

At the part level Instant 3D can turn a boss-extrude into a cut-extrude (and vice versa). That is not the case at the assy level. Only cut-extrudes can be performed at the assy level.

cheers
