Plot Style file ina central location

Plot Style file ina central location

I'd like to move the plot file styles files to a central location and have all AutoCAD seats default to that location. What do I have to change to make that happen?

Thanks,
Mike

RE: Plot Style file ina central location

Hi,

which ACAD-version?
You have to change the support file path under "_options".

BUT I won't do that. I would work with links.

AutoCad 2006. Please explain Links.

Thanks

Mike,

move the *.ctb to your desired location. But do not twist the support path to this folder! Make links of all *.ctb (right mouse click), and move these links to the default location of Acad's plotstyles.
IMHO is that the best way to save *.ctb in a network...

Exxit,

I'm curious.  Could you explain the recommendation for using the links?  Currently, our company standard has all the ctb's in a network folder, and acad's support path folder changed to match.

We're working on updating our standards, and I'm wondering if we should include that.

RE: Plot Style file ina central location

Ah, pardon,

I meant "shortcut"...
an icon with a little white box with an arrow in it, it is a shortcut and can be move into the supportpath folder...
"%&$"! language winky smile.
