Water Hammer

Water Hammer

Water Hammer

(OP)
Hi,
I am seaching for a way to learn water hammer/surge analysis for pressurized water and wastewater networks.
May anybody help?

RE: Water Hammer

yes- get a good text book on the subject or type - water hammer into google - it came up with 644,000 entries.

RE: Water Hammer

Search in www.pipingdesigners.com and there are a couple of papers there on surge and how to prevent it.

A good text is Fluid Transients in Piping Systems by ARD Thorley.

At www.aft.com you will be able to download a demo version of Impulse. This software I use for surge analysis of systems in the water and wastewater industry.
