Plywood Diaphragm Shear Capacity
Plywood Diaphragm Shear Capacity
(OP)
I have been using the publication from APA to determine plywood diaphragm shear, which involves long formula. Do you know if there is any place where I could find a table showing allowable 3/4" plywood diaphragm shear, like the one in IBC?
Thank you in advance.

RE: Plywood Diaphragm Shear Capacity
The distinction they make is that the 5/8" panel is a "Veneer Faced Panel", whereas the 3/4" panel is an "Other Panel". This is going back quite a ways, but it seems that using the 5/8" values would be OK in lieu of the calculating you were mentioning. This is proobably not what you wanted to hear.
