As we are moving into a new drafting system, I've developed a summary information list in the properties menu item that will be used on all models and generated a .PRTDOT format to be used on new models. Old models or models that we receive from clients won't have the summary list. Is there a way to copy or import the summary information data to a existing model that doesn't have it? Thanks. DadeLar

Thanks Dustin! - Trimech Solutions has exactly what I need... Dave (Dadelar)

RE: Summary properties

Yeah, I like that one too.  The only functionality it is lacking is the ability to change the value of existing custom properties.

In that situation, I delete the custom property and then add it back with a new value.  Two steps, but still fast.

The other nice thing about Trimech is that it runs outside of SolidWorks... since it is only dealing with metadata it can.  This makes it way fast.

enjoy.
