RISA Question

RISA Question

RISA Question

(OP)
Does anyone know if the RISA-3 program will automatically incorporate the Omega sub zero (Wo) = 3 component into the design for structural irregularities, or does it have to be input by hand somewhere in the program, the Engineer making the conscious decision to include it rather than the program?

To do so, the program would have to recognize a structural irregularity, and I'm not sure RISA has that capability.

HopeI am clear enough.  Thanks for any input.

RE: RISA Question

You have to do it manually in RISA.  I usually create a separate set of load combinations and adjust the factor on E.

Hi, I'm a first year EIT.  What are you using RISA to anlaysize?  I have used RISA to analysize Steel Trusses (Wide Flanges) and I am interested in expanding my knowledeg of this program.  Thanks

Thanks JAE.  I found out that both RISA and Woodworks have this "problem".
