Importing AutoCAD (DXF) into Abaqus

I am trying to import a dxf file of a truss that I did in AutoCAD into Abaqus. The process works, but I cannot seem add to sections to the beams or assign a mesh. The imported dxf stays under the sketch option, but I need it in parts.

RE: Importing AutoCAD (DXF) into Abaqus

Go to create part and add sketch.

Thanks ALOT, that is much easier compared to what I did an hour ago to get into the parts section. I imported it as a .dxf file, then exported it as part file to .sat so that the add file in the part option could read it.
