Some visual problems in NX5

Some visual problems in NX5

(OP)
Hello.
I am new to the forum. I came across it by accident and it acctually turns out to be quite useful. There are alot of tips that I didn't know before, even though I work with UG all day.
I recently installed UG NX5 on my personal computer and I seem to be having some visual problems. Whenever I enter any mode that demands I open a window and interact with the work space (e.g. during sketch mode, trying to draw a line), the image slices up and starts moving about uncontrolably in seperate directions.
Is it something to do with the preferences? Perhaps the screen is faulty?
Has anybody encountered this problem?

Cheers

Do you have a certified video card in your laptop?

Yes. And it is a brand new computer. I think I bought a 256 MB one. Unless I am mistaken and that is the graphics card.
