Instances of Configurations on BOM

Instances of Configurations on BOM

Instances of Configurations on BOM

(OP)
I am inserting two instances of a routed cable into a box.  The two cables are indentical, but as installed, the routing is different.  They are separate assembly configurations.  Is there any way I get these onto the same line on the BOM with a quantify of two?

I have fasteners on the drawing which are separate instances and configurations of the same file.

I am using design tables to control the configurations, so there is no problem creating identical BOM entries.

smcadman,

Thank you.  I tried that.  It works for every file attached to the assembly, including the ones where the configurations really are different.

This could be an enhancement request.

RE: Instances of Configurations on BOM

True, true!  Configuration grouping option should have an override on the part/subassembly level, similar to the "don't show child components when used as a subassembly" checkbox in config properties.
