Xpres Route blues....

Xpres Route blues....

Xpres Route blues....

(OP)
when using express route for doing piping runs, it places some sort of designation
on the automatically created parts as "pipes" "pipe fittings" etc.

this allows the use of the check boxes within the BOM controls to turn off groups
of fittings.

Is it possible to manually create a pipe fitting and be able to somehow create that
same designation manually so they will be counted as a "pipe fitting" and not as
a "part" ?

thanks

Jason

RE: Xpres Route blues....

Jason,

You can create and add your own fittings to the piping standard parts database, the instructions are given in SE's help.  Once the part is in the standard parts database it should have the part information needed to be turnd off with the rest of the pipe parts.  I'd expect that this is a custom file property.

There is a setting for "hardware part" under file properties/project, i believe you can use this for a similar purpose, although it's intention is to allow you to not seciton hardware parts (bolts, nuts, pins, etc)

Cheers,

Aaron
