problem with cavity???

problem with cavity???

problem with cavity???

(OP)
hello

anyone notice that when using the cavity feature that all of the surfaces do not offset the same amount.  i have used both part centroids & part origins.   any suggestions???

running swx 2006 sp3.4

thank you!!!

RE: problem with cavity???

Are you sure?  Do you have a scale factor that's not 1:1 in your feature (you can scale how much the cavity is carved out).

Otherwise, the surfaces should all offset their respective distances normal to the original, not necessarily as measured from X, Y, or Z planes.
