17Cr for high temperature valve stem
17Cr for high temperature valve stem
(OP)
Hallo everybody!
I know that a lot of valves manufactures use for high pressure sevice the 17Cr material for the valve stem (as alternative to 13Cr / F6).
As 17Cr i know only the 1.4122, but i don't find any ASME/ASTM equivalence.
What ASTM material can I use for this scope????
I need a stem material that I can use for a valve with the range of F91.
Many thanks!

S17400 is not the right material for high temperature service.
Work Temperatures after 400°C is cause of spinodal decomposition of the martensite phase.
Anybody know the yeld stress og Grade 616 at temperature (400°-600°C)????
Maybe this material can be correct, but I don't find the usual data of the ASME STRESS TABLEs.

But 600°C is ok for me too.
Thanks
