Steam Turbine Bypass - enthalpy control

Steam Turbine Bypass - enthalpy control

Steam Turbine Bypass - enthalpy control

(OP)
Hi to everybody,
Steam Turbine IP and LP bypass to an AIR cooled condenser are normally under enthalpy control. My question is how to choose the enthlapy set-point for the controller. I have in mind a value of 2750 kJ/kg but I'm looking for a precise criteria. Anybody can help me?.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Steam Turbine Bypass - enthalpy control

I'm curious, how do you control enthalphy at the turbine, the boiler controls that.

RE: Steam Turbine Bypass - enthalpy control

you control the steam conditions at the outlet of the conditioning valve.  The enthalpy value should be specified by the ACC vendor.  The 2750 sounds about right but each vendor has their own criteria.
