Need high torque 24 VDC motor for high load, quick speed

(OP)
Customer is changing a pneumatic cylinder out to an electric actuator. Here are the application requirements:
Load: 100 lbf vertical
Speed: move .25" in .25 second
Power: 24 VDC
Power tranmission: any (ballscrew, cam, rack and pinion, etc.)

My company manufacturers their own electric actuators but we do not have a product that can provide the combination of torque and speed. We would like to purchase a motor and integrate it with our own mechanical devices. The motor does not require a brake. Positioning is only end of stroke.

I am not sure where to look for the motor. What is the best source that can also help size the motor?

Get a Granger catalog and roam thru the front pages around page 100.  They have lots of DC motor/gear drives.  You may find what you need or at least refine what you need.
