Water marks in UG drawings

Water marks in UG drawings

Water marks in UG drawings

Hi,

I would like to add a DRAFT stamp to the NX drawings before they are all released.
Any idea how we can add the stamp.

Do NX has water marking?

Thanks in advance

RE: Water marks in UG drawings

What I said was that you can now create a PDF file directly from within NX and when creating these PDF documents, you can add optional watermarks to them.

RE: Water marks in UG drawings

There are plenty of ways. If you're just canvassing for ideas here are a few.

For what it is worth, I just use a stamp tool in the PDF file to add the word DRAFT across the page. Most of the people who I work with who prefer PDF's don't have access to CAD this method can enable them to provide a releasing stamp when they're ready.

Or you could have the text written across the page inside NX we used to use any bold unshaded font in thin linetype at an angle across the drawing sheet. Put it in your templates and delete it on the released copy.

Otherwise in the revision block if you have one the template says "DRAFT UNRELEASED" by default and you change that test to something like "INITIAL RELEASE" adding a date when you want to release the drawing.

Best regards

Hudson

Thanks for the ideas.  We are using NX4.  I think as of now we need to look at the pdf option for stamping.
