I would like to show a sheet of material flowing through a series of rollers in this machine i have.  The sheet must twist at certain points, where some rollers have an angle on them. Im just trying to wrap my head around which functions i would need to complete this task. I belive it would be a 3d sweep, but be able to twist at certain points. Any suggestions would be helpful. I attached a coulpe reference picture to help explain.

RE: surface modeling

A loft in the twist areas might work also.

The loft function totally worked in this situation. I was able to make the material flowing through the machine, and it resembled exactly what was going on.

thanks
