Creating dynamic sections

Creating dynamic sections

Creating dynamic sections

(OP)
We are using NX 4 and wish to be able to create a quater section through an assembly which he can toggle on and off. Obviously NX 4 has a pretty neat sectio view tool (view > operation > section) but this only allows us to view a single quadrant of a cylinder for example where we actually want to see 3 quadrants.
I have attached a jpeg to help clarfy what we are trying to achieve, however unless I'm missing a big trick, I don't hold much hope.

Many thanks

Perhaps it's something worth thinking about for the future? NX7 or 8? It would be a very useful tool. Especially if you could also use it to define section views in drawings too!

Many thanks

I think it was just a case of wishful thinking on my be half hoping that there was some silver bullet that would act like the section toggle, we've beend using breakout section assembly cut and what have you, but a toggle switch would have been the ultimate goal.

We've been using I.get.it by the way and it's pretty good!
