HI
Is anyone willing to share some experiance around kamprofilegaskets in heatexchangers. I'm planning to replace our old jacketed gaskets with new kamprofile.

RE: Heatexchangergaskets

I have heard that in Holland 90 % of the heat exchanger gaskets are camprofile now. 10 years ago you could hardly find a few non metal jacketed ones.

Basically, kamprofiles give better sealability. There are some profiles which are supposed to seal even better, like convex or the one with the two teeth slightly higher up to "close" graphite inside. Whatever you choose, the chances are camprofiles will work better.

Thank You for information
I've just started a project where we will change to kammprofile on aprox 100 exhangers on an ethyleneplant.
Many of them quite old so we have to check and adjust all sealing surfaces

RE: Heatexchangergaskets

Dear laphroaig,
Now I am doing fertilizer plant project. I also use kammprofile gasket. What is your kammprofile brand ? Is it flexitalic. Now I am using kukil (Korea brand gasket). Yesterday we failed in bolting up our heat exchanger. We got some leakage in hydro test. May I know in what pressure or pressure retained you tight the bolt ?
Could you please advice me regarding bolting up ?
