Can SW 2007 use one moving part to shape another...? In other words can collision detection or conflict be used to have one of the parts modified to the profile of another of the sliding parts? And if so, can anyone give a quick intro on how it is done? Thanks.

RE: Can SW 2007 use one moving part to shape another...?

What you are talking about is a swept solid cut.  This capability was introduced in SW 2008.  And it can't be done with collision/interference detection, just with a sweep feature.
