Material selection for gasoline pump with high H2S concentration
Material selection for gasoline pump with high H2S concentration
(OP)
I am working with a customer who is looking for a material to use for a pump pumping high concentration of H2S (above 50000ppm)at room temperature. I have looked at NACE but NACE addresses mostly downhole and compressor application and talks about partial pressure limits for various alloys for wrt gases and not liquid.
Has anyone looked into this? if so please comment.
Thank you

RE: Material selection for gasoline pump with high H2S concentration
Thanks for the information. I purchased the latest NACE MR0175/ ISO 15156 spec and found the information about calculation of partial pressure for liquid condition.
I was not sure what table would apply to a pump situation.
Also, I wanted to know if there was an alternative method of selecting material than calculating the partial pressure.
