Can anyone provide the minimum temperature limit allowable for AISI 4142? I need data showing -143 F is acceptable. If you have any supporting document would be helpful?

RE: AISI 4142

What is the chemical composition of  your material (especially sulfur and phosphorus)?

What is the heat treatment and microstructure?

What are the loading conditions?

Cory

RE: AISI 4142

More important, acceptable? This is a relative term, and must be quantified by a minimum CVN value specified at -143 deg F. Is it 10 ft-lbs, 25, 40 70...... at -143 deg F????
