E.R.W. Pipes as a replacement for Seamless Casing

E.R.W. Pipes as a replacement for Seamless Casing

(OP)
I would like suggestions regarding possibility of using E.R.W. pipes against seamless Casing pipes in the Oil & Gas industry especially for casing. Also, will it be possible for eg. to obtain E.R.W. pipe with N-80 collapse and Internal yield pressure capacities

RE: E.R.W. Pipes as a replacement for Seamless Casing

I think it is possible for using ERW pipe in lieu of seamless pipe but it shall be radiographed 100%.

RE: E.R.W. Pipes as a replacement for Seamless Casing

Use of ERW is allowed by API 5CT for pipe if fully stress relieved. ERW is not allowed for couplings. ERW should be available in both N80 and L80. Radiography is not required if you are buying API casing or tubing as it is hydrotested by manufacturer.
