Corrosion resistance of 204Cu stainless steel?

Corrosion resistance of 204Cu stainless steel?

Corrosion resistance of 204Cu stainless steel?

(OP)
Our current application is 3/16" diameter 304 stainless steel, cross wire welded to form a grate.  The product is used in a veterinary environment.  Would Carpenter Type 204-Cu (ASTM A313) provide similar corrosion resistance to animal products and general disinfectant cleaners?

RE: Corrosion resistance of 204Cu stainless steel?

I would weld some samples and have some simple corrosion testing done.  You may need to modify your welding to handle the high Cu alloy.  Once you get over that it should be very similar to 304.
