engine powering generator head
engine powering generator head
(OP)
if i have a generator head connected to a engine that runs a vehicle, will there be any problems when idling? can i use a centrifugal clutch to fix this problem, engaging the generator at a higher rpm?
i am hoping i can run a generator head of the same engine that runs a vehicle. the vehicle is similar to a small buggy, with around a 12hp motor. i haven't started the project or parts so i am open to other options.
a 2000 watt generator can be run from a 5 hp engine, so if i have a half load on it all the time, i am hoping the generator will be fine when idling, and then at medium to high speeds the generator will be engaged and the engine will be able to handle both.
