Freestyle spline on a surface

Freestyle spline on a surface

(OP)
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out something in the Freestyle Workbench.
As an example, I have a surface in the shape of an egg. I want to be able to draw a random shaped spline on the entire surface of the egg. I'm selecting the "curve on surface" command to do this.
My problem is that you are not able to pick outside of the first surface panel/section that you start drawing your spline in.
How do you get the entire egg shape to be recognized as one surface so you can pic anywhere on the egg shape to draw the spline?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
John

RE: Freestyle spline on a surface

why don't you concatenate the surfaces into one ?
