I've used Consplice for spliced post-tensioned girders in the past.  What other programs are people using for designing bridges to take into account time-dependent analysis with construction staging?

RE: Segmental and Spliced Post-Tensioned Girder Design Software

I think the most popular software for segmental design is BD2.

Has anyone used Midas Civil for time dependent analysis?

RE: Segmental and Spliced Post-Tensioned Girder Design Software

I've uesd Midas Civil. It's excellent Structural Program.
Are you intrested in Miads ?

ADAPT is what we plan to use when we start doing spliced PT beams.

Do you know if either Midas Civil or ADAPT perform code checking?  Are these two programs fairly simple to use?  I would presume that as long as you're experienced with designing PT girders that the differences between programs would be fairly insignificant.

Any thoughts you have on pros/cons of the programs would be appreciated!  I'm sure the sales reps from each company would tell me their program is the best thing since sliced bread so that's why I'm inquiring from engineering professionals.

Talk to LARSA, they may have a code check by now.

Thanks for the recommendation!  Ali at LUSAS indicated that they do now have code checking capabilities.

RE: Segmental and Spliced Post-Tensioned Girder Design Software

I am interested in ADAPT, can I download their trial verson progrma or user manual to have a look?

All software developers say their programs are "the best in the world and user friendly"...To be honest, I think it is better to have a look at the user manual before deciding wnat I should go for...
