Sketcher mouse delay

Sketcher mouse delay

Sketcher mouse delay

(OP)
We recently installed Catia R5 version 17, sp5.

Since then, we have experienced an issue within sketcher.  There is a delay between when you click the mouse and then move the cursor to the next point while sketching.  The sketch is not keeping up with the mouse cursor...we must wait for the sketch to catch up.
We have also noticed an issue where the mouse doesn't appear to let go of selected entities.  An example is we'll create a dimension, select where to place it and when the mouse cursor is moved the dimension follows.

Has anyone else experienced these issues?

Windows XP Professional
service pack 2
3.0 GHz, 2 GB Ram
NVidia Quadro FX 1700

RE: Sketcher mouse delay

Runz - your boss should be ecstatic, your outperforming your hardware/software.  Are you using 91.36_forceware_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql.exe video drivers?  Did you set up a CATSettings directory for R17?  I keep a directory of settings directory for each install.  You can use the Environment editor, change the CATUserSettingPath to CATSettings17.

Regards,
Derek
