RV fire cases - fire zones

RV fire cases - fire zones

Can anyone direct me to where in API 521 I might find a rule of thumb to use for a fire zone.  While I recognize that it mainly up to the facility to determine the correct fire zone areas, I did find in a search where the figure of 2500-5000 sq ft was cited.  I also found a citation of a 50 ft circle was used.  I can't find anything in 521, but admit it was an old version.

RE: RV fire cases - fire zones

I could not find anything in my version of API 521 either.  For fire calculations, I use a 2500 sq. foot fire circle.  This is based on our clients' standards.

Bill3752,
Please refer to API Std 521, Jan 2007, Fifth edition, section 5.15.1.1 & 5.20.2.2. Read more...

Thank you both.  Joe, I just realized that I have the 4th edition of 521 (1993 version).
