Load Deflection Graph and List

Dear All,

I am new to ANSYS and need help and advice on how to plot graphs in ansys.

Say I manage to create a simple cantilever and solved it in Solution Menu. What should I do next? I did go into Time-History Postprocessor and follow the help files. But it does not work. I think I am a bit confused with the time step...etc.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
YEN

RE: Load Deflection Graph and List

If you do nonlinear analysis(use solution control box) using a number of time steps, then you can plot displacement Vs time steps.Go to timehistory postprocessing->definavariables->DOF.
Then go to plot variables.

Unless you have solution for a number of time steps, you cant plot these curves.

Good Wishes

Thanks GoodWishes!

Please bear with me as I only start learning ANSYS two days ago and I have tried to look for examples and tutorial online similar to thiw problem without success.

My question is, how do I create a number of time steps? Do I need to create a script? If possible can you please lead me through the process?

Hope that someone can help me. I greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Regards,
YEN
