Custom Properties / Callouts

Custom Properties / Callouts

Custom Properties / Callouts

(OP)
Hey guys,

If I create a customer property, in this instance called 'SITE' and fill it using info from the propseed file, I'd like to fill it with something that looks like this:

'ABC blahblahblah'

Then on the drawing border I'd like to have a callout which gives the 'SITE' variable, but only the first three characters. Is this possible and if so, how?

Many thanks in advance,

Simon

something else I should ask, Is this possible to do with Teamcenter Express forms? i.e. can I populate information in a form on TCx and have it populate the drawing border from a callout?

RE: Custom Properties / Callouts

Hmm, can't be sure but I suspect you'd have to split ABC and blahblahblah to be separate entities.

RE: Custom Properties / Callouts

Can you make the text box linked in your sheet small enough to only show 3 characters.

RE: Custom Properties / Callouts

Don't think so.
You are using property text which is placed using the Call-Out command and the text does not have a 'box' around it.
