NX3 Multiple Plots

NX3 Multiple Plots

Is there a way to send a batch of drawings to the plotter (in this case, the printer and creating HPGL files)?

We have some larger assemblies, some times 15-20 parts, and want to see if I can save some time.

Anyone have an idea?

RE: NX3 Multiple Plots

Plotting can be done from an NX Open application.  In fact I suspect that there might some programs like that available from the PLM World download site.

RE: NX3 Multiple Plots

Another thing that we have had some recent luck with is plotting multiple sheets out of NX-5, which you can probably do for NX-3 also, and then via postscript on the fly to a PDF printer. We have used 3rd party software to create PDF files of multiple drawings which can then be printed either full scale or on regular A3 and A4 paper. I like to put all the drawings for a product or assembly into a single file and control the releasing and product configuration very simply and directly.

The one we're using is PDF creator which you can find on the internet at pretty low cost I believe.

Best of Luck

I was poking through plm world and didn't have any luck with finding anything.
