SW 2008 sheet background

SW 2008 sheet background

SW 2008 sheet background

(OP)
Some time back someone posted some sheet images for sheet backgrounds.

One had a coffee cup stain http://paul-flores.com/downloads/sheetbackground12.jpg

The other had weld burns and a footprint: http://paul-flores.com/downloads/sheetbackground15.jpg

I know the original sheet background is found at install location\SolidWorks\data\Images\drawings

How do I change the sheet background?  I tried this under Tools > Options > Colors > Color Scheme Settings > Drawings Background but that is something else.

How do I change this to the other images?  One option is to rename the default sheetbackground1.bmp.

In addition to this, where else can I find additional sheet backgrounds?

(I know, too much time on my hands)

RE: SW 2008 sheet background

As far as I know, you only have the option to use the picture or a color.  Therefore, the only way to do it would be to save the picture you want over the default.

Thanks.  I changed them to BMPs and renamed one to "sheetbackground1.bmp" and it worked.  Now to come up with new stains... actually I better work for awhile, but will get back to this. smile
