Moss Lifting Design of Base Ring

Moss Lifting Design of Base Ring

Moss Lifting Design of Base Ring

(OP)
I'm using procedure 7-5 of Moss' "Pressure Vessel Design Manual", 3rd edition to check the base ring of the support skirt during lifting by tail beams.

The actual configuration can be associated to the "parallel" indicated in the manual, i.e. with two parallel tail beams attached to the base ring.

This is the problem:
to check the base plate section both bending moment Mb and tangential force Tt need to be calculated using the coefficients Kr and KT respectively.
For all the configurations other than "parrallel", Kr and KT are tabulated for various angular positions in the base ring.
For "parallel" configuration, Kr is given as a curve for just six points (I assume the worst stressed), while I didn't find a corresponding value for KT for the calculation of tangential force.

1) Are points A, B, C, D shown in the Kr curve the worst stressed?

2) How can I find KT value corresponding to Kr?

Can anyone help me?
Thanks
