Finite Element Analysis Help

Finite Element Analysis Help

Finite Element Analysis Help

(OP)
I am needing to model the connection of where a top arch meets the bottom chord.  Both members are a hollow steel pipe.  However the Arch has a parabolic shape.  I need a little help starting my model and would like to know if anyone has some hints or aides for helping me.  Thanks.

RE: Finite Element Analysis Help

You might try modeling/drawing with the curved frame option. For the arch you described, it should work well. Using the draw frame/cable, you change change the line type from straight frame to curved frame and draw.
