Looking for wave generating software...
(OP)
Hi guys. I have a simple electronics project due in a of couple days. (5v-12v DC Power Supply) For the report section, I would like to display what the wave looks like at each of the different stages. I know what the waves look like, but I can't draw as I broke my right wrist.
I'm looking for a software application that will allow me to generate images of the waves based on my input. Unfortunetly, the oscilliscopes we use are very old without the ability to output to any other source then a TV.
Any help would be appreciated!

Do a search for PSpice downloads and you will find it, if not let me know and I will post it.

Use your soundcard to generate signals. Shareware available at http://www.syntrillium.com/
WinAMP 32-bit 2.11
--- DOWNLOAD --- http://big.rubberchicken.net/winamp211.exe
--- MORE INFO --- http://www.winamp.com
--- STATUS --- Shareware $10
A layer 3 MPEG Audio player for Windows 95 and NT Winamp provides all the features and performance you would expect in a mp3 player such as: spectrum analyzer, digital equalizer, downsampling, downmixing, playlists, a full-featured ID3 tag editor, enhanced windowshade mode, and even an oscilliscope!
If the frequency of the waveforms at each stage is not too high, connect the output of each stage through an signal amplifier and into the line input of the Soundcard on your PC. There are several software packages to let you use your pc as an oscilliscope.
At your school stop by the math/physics department see if they have a Ti-graphing calculator, and cbl, use the voltage probe that comes with it. You can capture the wave form and data points. Then upload from the calculator to the pc with the graphlink. The screen capture is a BMP and the data points are ascii text. Input the ascii text into excell and plot, for higher resolution. (This setup is a fairly inexpensive low resolution digital storage scope.)
